Overview

The mad scientists in Affalterbach have applied their talents to a new challenge, and the 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT53 is the scintillating result. Its name implies it’s based on the GT coupe; actually, it’s built on the bones of an E-class, but this four-door, four-seat 2019 GT53 is still a pure AMG. When it goes on sale in mid-2019, it will have a turbocharged inline-six aided by a 48-volt electric motor to produce a maximum of 429 hp. Still not enough? More horses are available in the GT63 and GT63 S.
