Not ready to drop about $82,000 on a Ford Bronco Raptor? Well, there's a new horse in town, and it's called the RTR. Essentially the new entry point to elevated off-road performance, the 2027 Ford Bronco RTR features distinct styling and special hardware for a more affordable price.
This new Bronco variant is the culmination of a new collaboration between Ford and Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s RTR tuning firm.
The Bronco RTR stands out from its siblings thanks to its unique front lighting layout, which incorporates intersecting elements.
Another RTR staple is the Hyper Lime accents, which outline the graphics and color the rings on the beadlock-capable wheels.
Every Bronco RTR has the four-door configuration, and it's handcuffed to the 275-hp turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder.
Along with standard 33-inch tires, every RTR has a suspension that's been lifted to provide extra clearance.
The RTR's off-road capabilities can be increased with the Sasquatch package, which adds 35-inch tires and Fox internal-bypass dampers.
While all RTR Broncos have a wider track than the Badlands, they also inherit a cooling fan from the widebody Raptor.
Ford says the RTR-spec Bronco was inspired by Ultra4 off-road racing and developed in the torturous terrain of California's Johnson Valley.
For RTR buyers who don't like the lime-colored look or the graphics, Ford says both can be deleted.
We think the Ford Bronco RTR will start at just under $52,000 when it goes on sale in January 2027.
