The 2026 Nissan Leaf marks a big step forward for one of the O.G. EVs.
The Nissan Leaf's new mug keeps it in the family, mirroring changes made to the faces of the Ariya and the latest Murano.
The top-shelf Platinum+ model seen here isn't the range queen of the group, with an EPA-estimated 259 miles. The forthcoming Leaf S+ promises up to 303 miles.
The Leaf picks up a new 75-kWh battery, which replaces the old model's 62-kWh unit.
The new Leaf is slipperier than its forebear, as well—the drag coefficient shrinks from 0.29 to 0.26.
The Leaf includes a NACS (Tesla-style) charging port on one fender for DC fast-charging and a J1772 on the other side for Level 2 AC charging.
