While it took over two decades, Ram finally found a way to offer a diesel engine in the off-road-ready Power Wagon. Pumping out 1075 pound-feet, it claims the torque crown over its Ford and GM rivals, which make 1050 and 975 pound-feet, respectively.
The 2027 Ram Power Wagon marks the first time the heavy-duty off-roader has been made available with a Cummins diesel.
The Power Wagon stands out with its bedside decals, and its off-road hardware includes underbody skid plates as well as locking front and rear diffs.
Ram says the new Power Wagon can now also accept a fifth-wheel gooseneck hitch along with a self-leveling rear suspension.
The Power Wagon's interior mixes leather appointments with the latest tech, like an available 14.5-inch touchscreen.
The driver faces this 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, which offers configurable views.
Riding shotgun just got less boring, as the Power Wagon offers a separate touchscreen for the front passenger.
Ram's diesel 6.7-liter straight-six makes 430 horsepower and 1075 pound-feet of torque on the Power Wagon.
By removing the front-mounted winch, Ram was able to fit the Power Wagon with the Cummins diesel engine.
Along with these gnarly 35-inch off-road tires, the Power Wagon has 13.2 inches of ground clearance.
The 2027 Ram Power Wagon will go on sale sometime in the second half of this year; it'll start at $88,470.
