The Subaru Solterra continues on as a Toyota-based EV, but it picked up some improvements for 2026—namely, a big ol' dose of power.
The 2026 Subaru Solterra XT Touring we tested packs an impressive 338 horsepower from a pair of motors, which grants the vehicle all-wheel drive.
At 4.3 seconds to 60, the Solterra is officially the quickest Subaru we've ever tested.

Unfortunately, that newfound power doesn't come with newfound handling chops.
The styling is still quite polarizing too.
The Solterra Touring XT's EPA range figure also climbs by 56 miles compared with the 2025 Touring's to a far more competitive 278 miles total.
