The Mercedes-Benz GLB-class enters its second generation for the 2027 model year, now offering both hybrid and electric powertrains and a new high-tech cabin.
The GLB's new interior follows a similar path to other recently launched Mercedes-Benzes, such as the 2027 CLA-class sedan or the GLC-class EV.
The cabin is dominated by a set of screens spanning the entire width of the dashboard, dubbed the Superscreen.
In the GLB, the optional Superscreen pairs a 10.3-inch digital driver display with a 14-inch central touchscreen and a 14-inch passenger screen. Those who don't spring for the full Superscreen will miss out on the passenger display.
While many of the GLB's functions will be controlled by the array of screens, Mercedes has thankfully stuck with physical controls for the steering wheel.
The GLB has grown in size from its first generation, now 3.9 inches longer from nose to tail, 1.1 inches wider, and with a wheelbase that is 2.4 inches longer.
This makes for a far more spacious cabin, with the second-row passengers gaining a meaningful 2.7 inches of legroom.
Mercedes will also offer this cool panoramic glass roof that can be optioned with an illuminated star pattern and the ability to go from clear to opaque by pressing a button.
The GLB will continue to be offered as a two-row, five-seater or a three-row, seven-seater SUV.
The electric GLB models arrive first, at the end of 2026, with the hybrid model expected afterwards in 2027.
