The Recon Moab rolls on these 33-inch all-terrain tires that are mounted on 18-inch wheels; Jeep won't say if 35s will fit without modification.

The Recon's removable doors don't require any tools, and the rear glass can also be easily removed. Opting for the power-operated retractable roof further enhances the open-air experience.

While the Recon doesn't have solid axles or four-wheel drive with a low-range, its dual electric motors provide all-wheel drive. An electronically locking rear differential is also standard.

The Recon's all-wheel-drive powertrain provides 650 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. Jeep claims the EV SUV can hit 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

The Recon's rear-mounted spare tire is another Wrangler hallmark, though the EV has a shorter driving range, with the Moab model's battery estimated to provide 230 miles on a full charge.

Jeep says the Recon can wade through 24 inches of water, and its 94-kWh battery and electric components are sealed and waterproof.

When it's time to charge the Recon's battery, a Level 2 unit can take it from five to 80 percent in under 7 hours. If you can't wait that long and have access to a DC fast-charger, Jeep says it can be done in about 28 minutes.

Along with two front-mounted tow hooks, the Recon has steel underbody armor, and it can be outfitted with rock rails too. Jeep also plans to launch myriad factory accessories.
