The 2026 Forester Wilderness looks largely the same as most Foresters, but it gains some extra equipment and is ready to handle muddy adventures.
The Wilderness is fitted with Subaru's StarTex upholstery, an animal-free material that is designed to be water-resistant and easy to clean.
Subaru also includes a standard set of all-weather floor mats and a cargo tray, so you don't have to worry about cleaning off your hiking boots when you get back from the trail.
For 2026, all Foresters get a new center-console design with larger cupholders and a storage slot for smartphones.
All Foresters except the base model feature an 11.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.
The Wilderness can also be had with a package that includes a digital gauge cluster that can display Apple Maps navigation.
The Forester's All-Weather package comes standard on the Wilderness. It brings heated front seats and heated side-view mirrors.
