The 2026 Ram 1500 brings the Hemi V-8 out of retirement.
It might not have the performance chops of the Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, but the Ram 1500's Hemi 5.7-liter V-8 is back in action.
The 1500's Hemi provides a dose of brutish charm that the inline-six cannot emulate.
Is it quicker? Almost certainly not; the Hemi lacks the output of its force-fed siblings.
Can it tow more? Also no; the Hemi is capable of hauling just as much as the Hurricane, but no more.
Instead of chasing metrics, the Hemi's return is all about injecting a dose of character that the Hurricane-powered 1500 was lacking.
