The California Corvette is imagined as an EV, with a prismatic T-shape battery that helps it achieve a low, sleek silhouette.

The design team focused on aerodynamics, taking inspiration from modern Formula 1 cars, with the majority of the downforce coming via underbody tunnels that lead to a rear diffuser.

Still, there's an active rear wing that can raise and angle forward to add drag and help slow the car.

The interior has a lightweight, structural design, with the seats mounted directly to the carbon-fiber tub and a large beam that envelopes the driver and recalls the "wall of buttons" look from pre-2026 C8 Corvettes.

The steering wheel is a yoke with an integrated screen and a small display behind it, but most of the key information is communicated to the driver via an augmented-reality head-up display.

The California Corvette has a striking two-tone look. The designers envision the top gray section as being completely removable to turn the concept into an open-wheel, open-cockpit racer.

While there is no production intent behind the California Corvette concept, it underscores that America's sports car will never stray from dramatic, sleek designs.
