Bentley is heading in a new direction, with the EXP 15 concept serving as a beacon for the brand's new design language that will appear on its first EV that is due out next year.
While the EXP 15 looks towards the future, it draws inspiration from an iconic and historic Bentley, the 1930 Speed Six Gurney Nutting Sportsman coupe.
The EXP 15 sports a fastback roofline and a raised stance that gives it a slightly more SUV-like look.
The EXP 15 is envisioned as an EV and has an upright front end dominated by a glitzy illuminated grille.
The grille is comprised of a series of small triangular LED lights that work together to imitate the crosshairs found on the chrome grilles on Bentley's gas-powered cars.
The grille also houses the revised Bentley "Winged B" logo, which is inset above a central LED spine and below the iconic hood ornament.
At the rear, thin LED taillights wrap around a body-colored panel for a clean and simple look.
The EXP 15 also has active aerodynamics, with twin extendable spoilers atop the roof and an active rear diffuser.
Since the EXP 15 is electric, it doesn't need as long a hood as Bentley's distinguished gas-powered sedans.
Bentley says the EXP 15 is just a concept but that some design cues will appear on its first EV, a small SUV that is expected to debut next year.
