Do you remember the days when SUVs had proper off-road kit? BMW does, and the Silver Anniversary Edition X5 aims to recapture a bit of that old spark.
It's hard to believe the BMW X5 is already 25 years old, but here we are.
Our X5 arrived in Silver Anniversary Edition guise, which throws it back to the X5s of yore with some off-road-ready kit.
The most notable part of the package is the set of 275/45R-20 General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires, which give the ride a bit of a wobbly feeling.
The X5's turbocharged inline-six produces 375 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, enough to shoot this ute to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
Not only do the Grabbers introduce squirrelly handling, they also produce a fair bit of tire noise and offer unimpressive skidpad figures.
