The VW Golf R may lack the fancy new steering wheel that the GTI gets, but its mildly refreshed cabin still contains some welcome upgrades.
A larger infotainment touchscreen is the most noticeable change inside the 2025 VW Golf R.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a modern Volkswagen without a fully digital gauge cluster these days.
If you look closely, you'll notice the Golf R still has the old capacitive steering-wheel buttons. That's a bummer.
The screen is new and easier to use, but you still have to rely on those silly sliders at the bottom to adjust the climate control. But hey, at least they're backlit now.
The Golf R's seats are supportive without feeling constricting.
