Chevrolet extends the legacy of its high-performance Super Sport lineup with the new 2025 Blazer EV SS, the brand's first electric vehicle to wear the iconic SS badge.
The new SS model is the top trim in the 2025 Blazer EV lineup, starting at a fairly reasonable $62,095.
Front and rear motors bring all-wheel drive and a default 515 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Engage the Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode, though, and output swells to 615 horses and 650 pound-feet.
A stiffer suspension, revised steering, and a new Competitive drive mode enhance the Blazer SS's handling.
The Blazer EV SS has 22-inch wheels. An optional Performance package adds summer tires and upgraded brakes.
Chevy claims the Blazer EV SS can hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds at 115 mph.
The Blazer EV is the latest in a long line of SS-badged production Chevys, the first being the 1961 Impala.
Chevy is up front about the Blazer SS being designed to tackle twisty back roads. It doesn't embarrass itself on a racetrack, but it's not meant for track days.
A sizable 102-kWh battery helps the Blazer SS earn a solid 303 miles of EPA range. Chevy says the SS can add about 78 miles of range in 10 minutes on a DC fast-charger.
