The 2026 Subaru Outback enters its seventh generation, and that brings a host of changes inside and out, including no longer being confused for a station wagon.
The Outback now has a boxier and more upright design.
Onlookers will be hard-pressed to mistake the new Outback for anything but a mid-size SUV.
From stem to stern, the Outback now measures an estimated 192.3 inches, which is slightly longer than before.
Thanks to a 2.0-inch-taller roofline, the Outback's cargo area now has 35 cubic feet of space.
Don't worry—the Outback still comes standard with all-wheel drive.
The Outback is powered by either a standard 180-hp naturally aspirated four-cylinder or an optional turbocharged 260-hp four.
