The Audi RS7 Performance is the top dog in the brand's lineup of sleek four-door fastbacks, occupying a higher echelon than its A7 and S7 stablemates.
The RS7 earns its new Performance moniker with increased output from its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8.
The RS7 sends 621 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
In our testing, the RS7 blasted from zero to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.
Our Ascari Blue test car had the $1250 RS sport suspension option, which lowers the ride height 0.2 inch and features cross-linked dampers to control roll. Rear-wheel steering aids agility.
Carbon-ceramic brakes are available ($8500), and with them the RS7 stopped from 70 mph in 143 feet.
