With the standard 82.3-kWh battery pack, the Taycan 4 offers 402 horsepower (the same as the rear-drive Taycan), but its 431 lb-ft of torque is way more than the rear-drive model offers.

The story is the same for the optional Performance Battery Plus, which costs $5780 and boosts capacity to 97.0 kWh. Here, you get 429 horsepower and 449 pound-feet of torque.

That extra torque won't get you down the line much quicker than in the rear-driver, though—Porsche estimates a 0.1-second improvement in the run to 60 mph.

Adding all-wheel drive also adds about 200 pounds to the curb weight, which we estimate should land between 4900 and 5100 pounds. A welterweight this ain't.
