The 2025 Kia K4 is Kia's new compact sedan, replacing the Forte, and we've just driven it in GT-Line trim with the base naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine.
The K4 looks quite different than its predecessor, the Forte.
The name change is meant to align the K4 with the mid-size K5 sedan.
The base engine is a 2.0-liter inline-four making 147 horsepower.
There's also an upgrade turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four available on the GT-Line, and that engine produces 190 horsepower.
The GT-Line comes with visual tweaks, including different 18-inch wheels and other extra bits of exterior trim.
The only transmission choice for the 2.0-liter is a continuously variable automatic transmission.
The K4 is one of the larger entries in the compact-sedan class.
There are also LX, LXS, and EX trim levels, and all of those come with the 2.0-liter engine.
