View exterior photos of the 2026 Kia Sportage, which has been refreshed with a new exterior design that looks more conventional than before.
The Kia Sportage is receiving its mid-cycle refresh, with a fresh exterior design for the 2026 model year that looks more normal than before.
The front end looks chunkier and more squared off than the more UFO-like styling that the fifth-generation Sportage debuted with in 2023.
The headlights are now more vertically oriented and feature orange LED daytime running lights.
The grille is also more squared off than before and sports a new mesh design.
While the taillight shape is the same as the outgoing model, there's a new, more detailed graphic treatment.
The Sportage continues to be offered with three powertrains, a standard four-cylinder gas engine, a hybrid setup, and a plug-in hybrid model.
While the base 2.5-liter engine is unchanged, the hybrid models see slight increases in horsepower for 2026.
The hybrid model now produces 231 hp, up by 4, and the plug-in hybrid now produces 268 hp, a 7-hp increase.
Kia also added two new trims for the Sportage hybrid, the S model which slots in above the base model and a new X-Line hybrid.
The 2026 Kia Sportage will go on sale in the second quarter of 2025.
