The 2025 BMW M4 CS is a new variant in the lineup. It's more extreme than the standard M4 or the M4 Competition xDrive, but it isn't quite the track monster that was the (now-discontinued) M4 CSL.
Like the M3 CS and the M4 CSL, the 2025 BMW M4 CS extracts 543 horsepower from its twin-turbocharged inline-six, a 20-hp bump versus the M4 Competition xDrive.
The engine sends its 479 pound-feet of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission to a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system.
Various lightweight elements help the M4 CS shed a claimed 77 pounds compared to the M4 Competition xDrive.
The CS chassis has revised anti-roll bars, different wheel camber settings, retuned adaptive dampers, and a cast aluminum front strut brace.
BMW claims a 60-mph time of 3.2 seconds, but we think 2.7 seconds is more realistic.
Thinly padded sport seats are standard.
Frozen Isle of Man Green Metallic paint is exclusive to the M4 CS.
Pricing for the M4 CS starts at $124,675, or $35K more than the Competition xDrive coupe.
Unlike the rear-wheel-drive CSL, the M4 CS is a bit easier to manage at the handling limit.
