Subaru redesigned its Forester compact SUV for 2025, but many of its mechanicals carry over from before.
The Subaru Forester is new for 2025, boasting a redesigned look inside and out and newly available features. The 2.5-liter flat-four engine and CVT automatic remain the only powertrain choice, and all-wheel drive is standard.
The 2025 Forester has new bodywork that makes it look a bit more modern than its predecessor.
This is the Sport trim level, which features bronze wheels and other visual tweaks.
The Touring will remain the top trim level, and it offers 19-inch wheels and classier touches.
The Forester once again comes standard with Subaru's all-wheel-drive system and a continuously variable automatic transmission.
A 2.5-liter flat-four is the only engine choice, and it produces 180 horsepower.
The interior now features an 11.6-inch touchscreen on all but the base model.
Subaru says the cargo area offers new tie-down points.
Folding the seats expands the cargo area to 74 cubic feet.
The vertically oriented touchscreen offers wireless smartphone mirroring capabilities.
Subaru says the 2025 Forester will start reaching dealerships in spring 2024.
