Check out the Nissan Safari Rally Z Tribute, built for the SEMA show to honor Nissan's victory at the 1971 East African Safari Rally.
Nissan teamed up with Tommy Pike Customs to create the Safari Rally Z Tribute, an 0ff-road-focused Z sports car, for the 2023 SEMA show.
The Safari Rally Z Tribute celebrates Nissan's win at the 1971 East African Safari Rally.
The Safari Rally Z Tribute will appear at SEMA alongside a replica of the Datsun 240Z Safari that took first place in 1971.
The Tribute model sits two inches higher thanks to a revised suspension that includes special NISMO parts.
The Tribute also rides on Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 225/65 tires that are fitted to unique black wheels.
The front end is decked out with six LED auxiliary lights, as well as a skid plate to protect the mechanical bits.
The V-6 engine receives a tune from AMS Performance that sees horsepower rise north of the 400 mark.
The Z is also fitted with a cold air intake, a carbon-fiber engine cover, a heat exchange, a twin-disc clutch and flywheel, and a cat-back exhaust.
The interior remains mostly stock but features a map and auxiliary gauges that mimic the setup of the original rally car.
The cabin also includes a roll bar, four-point harnesses, and Recaro bucket seats.
Thankfully the Safari Rally Z Tribute uses the six-speed manual transmission.
