The X2 is redesigned for 2024, following its more upright X1 sibling into a new generation.
BMW is introducing a new, second-generation of the X2 crossover. As before, it's closely related to the X1 but features a sloping rear roofline to give it a more distinctive look.
The X2 will be offered in two different versions: the xDrive28i and the M35i xDrive.
The M35i is the performance version and features visual tweaks and plenty of M badges.
It has a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 312 horsepower.
Every X2 comes standard with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
BMW hasn't yet released images of the 28i, but it has a less powerful turbo-four with 241 hp.
Though mechanically identical to the X1, the X2 features a shape all its own.
The M-badged versions come with an upgraded chassis including larger brakes and adaptive dampers.
If you specify summer performance tires, the M35i has a top speed of 155 mph.
