Hyundai is rolling out a second generation of its small Kona Electric for 2024.
The Hyundai Kona Electric has been redesigned alongside its gas-powered sibling for 2024.
This time, Hyundai is offering a choice of battery packs: with capacities of 48.6 and 64.8 kilowatt-hours.
Preliminary manufacturer estimates have the smaller battery pack delivering just 197 miles of range, while the larger one is said to be good for 260 miles.
With the larger pack, the single electric motor makes 201 horsepower.
With the smaller pack, the motor's output is 133 horsepower. Either way, peak torque is 188 pound-feet.
The second-gen Kona's design is a little more out there than its predecessor's.
The rear view is equally funky.
The interior, by contrast, is fairly straightforward, with dual screens side by side.
The Kona has grown a bit on the outside, which makes for more space inside.
