AMG bored and stroked the C280's straight-six to 3.6 liters, arriving at 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.
Front brakes from the SL600 help the C36 stop from 70 mph in just 163 feet.
The interior doesn't much change from the C280, with the notable exception of the extroverted steering wheel.
Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph, but our test car was a little bit stingy, allowing only 152 mph.
