
In trying to do everything, the 2000 BMW X5 doesn't really succeed in any of it. The interior is bolted together as good as any German, but once on the road, an owner is met with a rough ride and traction that feels compromised anywhere except dry pavement. It's a big SUV meant for hauling a bunch of people, but its cargo capacity is awfully limited. So what, then, do we make of BMW's "sports-activity vehicle"?
