It's never fun saying farewell, but the Chrysler 300 is not long for this earth. Thankfully, Stellantis has one more car-and-powertrain combination left up its sleeve. The 300C, which is limited to just 2200 units, borrows the 485-hp V-8 from the Charger and Challenger Scat Pack, and the result is tire-roasting mayhem. We'll miss you, buddy.
The Chrysler 300C is a limited-run finale for the 300 lineup.
Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V-8 making 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque.
All that power heads to the rear wheels by way of an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Hilariously, Chrysler fits the 300C with all-season tires as standard, which hold up to the engine's torque about as well as you'd expect.
The tires don't exactly aid acceleration figures, either. The sprint to 60 mph took 4.4 seconds during our evaluation.
Registering 0.87 g on our skidpad test, the Chrysler 300C falls short of some new family sedans, but it's that lack of proper grip that also makes this car so much fun.
Combined with a standard 3.09:1 rear end, the 300C will happily break the rear tires loose with surprisingly little right-pedal action.
We recorded a cabin volume of 88 decibels at wide-open throttle, which means it's louder than a Lamborghini Urus Performante.
The 300C is also one of very few vehicles in recent memory that's able to use every single tick on its speedometer, which in this case stops at 160 mph.
