The Bentley Batur is an ultra-exclusive coupe featuring the most powerful W-12 engine ever.
The Bentley Batur by Mulliner is a $2.1 million coupe based on the
Continental GT.
Bentley said it will only produce 18 of these; we drove the first
two prototypes in Tenerife, located on the largest of Spain’s Canary
Islands.
The Batur, pronounced buh-tour, is the successor to the
convertible Bacalar, which was even more exclusive, with only 12 built.
The bodywork is exclusive to the Batur.
These 22-inch wheels are exclusive to the Batur, and the
center caps float across a series of bearings to ensure the emblazoned B always remains upright.
The twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W-12 engine here makes 740 horsepower, its highest output ever.
Bentley estimates its coupe can reach 60 mph in under 3.3 seconds.
The Bentley Batur will be a rare sight anywhere in the world, but especially so in the U.S., where it's not street legal.
