Mirroring the recent updates made to the C-class sedan, Mercedes-Benz has given the GLC-class SUV a wealth of improvements for the 2023 model year. There's a newly electrified powertrain and a delightful new cabin with plenty of interesting tech. Don't worry, it's still fun to drive too.
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 picks up several key upgrades inside and out.
The exterior better mirrors the C-class with slimmer front and rear lights.
Under the hood is a newly electrified powertrain.
A turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four features an integrated starter-generator to deliver 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
The electric motor can add up to 23 horsepower and 148 pound-feet but not does not increase peak output.
EPA-estimated fuel economy is up a couple ticks over the previous model.
However, adding a couple inches to the GLC's body brought a couple hundred extra pounds of mass along for the ride.
As a result, 60-mph and quarter-mile times are a little lazier in the 2023 model, but not by much.
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 starts at $48,250, and 4Matic all-wheel drive is a $2000 upgrade.
