The performance version of the Integra hatchback has a 320-hp turbo four and a nicer interior than the Civic Type R.
Acura has revealed the 2024 Integra Type S, which packs improved performance courtesy of a more powerful engine and an upgraded chassis. It's mechanically similar to the Honda Civic Type R but features a subtler exterior look and a better-equipped interior.
The Integra Type S has a wider front and rear track compared with the standard Integra.
It also has 19-inch wheels with summer performance tires that sit under the wider fenders.
Unlike the Civic Type R, there's no big wing out back, but you do get the aggressive-looking rear diffuser with three exhaust tips.
Acura will offer the Integra Type S in the same Tiger Eye Pearl exterior color found on the TLX and MDX Type S models.
The Integra Type S is a four-door hatchback.
Inside, the cabin features equipment not available on the Civic such as a head-up display and an ELS audio system.
The front seats have a bit of extra bolstering and are available in red, white, or black.
The rear seats fold down to expand the hatchback's impressively sized cargo area.
The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four produces 320 horsepower, exactly 5 horsepower more than the Civic Type R's version of this engine.
Acura says the extra power comes from the active exhaust system that's exclusive to the Integra.
