The latest Crosstrek joins the Outback and Forester in offering a ruggedized Wilderness trim level.
The Subaru Crosstrek is adding a Wilderness edition to the lineup. Priced just above the Limited, the Wilderness takes the standard Crosstrek and makes it more rugged. Armored in bold body cladding and copper accents, the Crosstrek Wilderness stands 0.6 inches taller than the standard version.

The Wilderness trim adds bolder cladding and copper accents to help distinguish from run-of-the-mill Crosstreks.
The special edition includes an upgraded drivetrain, a raised suspension, and a front metal skid plate.
The driver-selectable X-Modes offers snow/dirt and deep snow/mud options, adjusting throttle and transmission tuning where required. Standard Hill Descent Control can also automatically apply braking on descents under 12 mph.
Power is unchanged from the standard Crosstrek. The 2.5-liter flat-four that's optional on the standard Crosstrek is standard on the Wilderness and still churns out 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque.
The interior is finished in the water-repelling Subaru StarTex material to keep your car safe from the rigors of outdoor adventures.
