The reborn Hummer brand, now sold under GMC, adds a second model with the arrival of the Hummer EV SUV.
Even more than the pickup, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV channels the look of past Hummers.
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV's wheelbase is 8.9 inches shorter than the pickup's but still spans 126.7 inches.
The SUV packages 20 battery modules below the floor, and the estimated 177.3-kW pack is expected to deliver a range of at least 250 miles.
The Hummer SUV launches with a three-motor powertrain that's good for 830 horsepower. (A 625-hp two-motor version will arrive later.)
A launch-control mode, which GMC calls Watts to Freedom (or WTF), allows for a claimed 3.5-second 60-mph time.
The cabin is wide and roomy.
The central touchscreen measures 13.4 inches, and the Hummer SUV also includes physical switchgear.
Four-wheel steering gives the Hummer SUV a tighter turning circle than a Chevy Bolt EUV.
