This small hatchback previews a production EV that will go on sale in Europe in 2025 for around $26,000.
Volkswagen has introduced a new concept car called the ID.2all that previews an eventual production model that we're sure will be called the ID.2. it's a small hatchback and it promises to start at around €25,000 when it goes on sale in Europe in 2025.
The ID.2all's design is nicely proportioned and it's meant to look like older VW Golf hatchback.
The chunky C-pillar in particular is an homage to the Golf, as this classic design element has exemplified VW's hatch for its many generations.
We don't expect the production car to look all that different from this concept, as it's devoid of far-out design features and looks ready for the road.
The headlights and taillights are the main elements that we could see being simplified for production.
The interior looks cool, particularly the steering wheel, and features large screens for the digital gauge cluster and the central infotainment display.
VW is estimating a driving range of around 280 miles on the European WLTP cycle.
The ID.2all is front-wheel drive and has a 223-hp electric motor.
