Alfa Romeo's sports sedan gets updates for 2024 including new headlights and a digital gauge cluster.
When it comes to joyful road manners and grin-inducing thrills, few sport sedans can top the 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia. Its turbocharged four-cylinder coupled with exceptional handling connects driver and road seamlessly. The interior, while not as posh as some of its counterparts, is equipped with a generous list of standard and optional equipment, all while wearing fine Italian couture.
The Giulia will receive a mild facelift for the 2024 model year which includes updated headlights and taillights that are intended to align the sedan's look with Alfa Romeo's new Tonale SUV.
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder powers the Giulia, producing 280 horsepower. Always agile and lively, the Giulia is a driving enthusiast's sports sedan.
Among its turbocharged four-cylinder rivals, the Giulia almost leads the pack with an EPA estimated 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway from rear-wheel drive models. All-wheel-drive models are slightly worse at 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway.
All Giulias come with three unique drive-mode selectors: Dynamic, Natural, and Advanced Efficiency. Each alters the car's engine management, transmission, and steering feel.
Alfa Romeo's 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system can be found in all Giulias between the dashtop and central climate-control vents. Standard features include three USB ports, an auxiliary input jack, in-dash navigation, and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity.
Seats are comfortable and well bolstered, especially the optional sports seats.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are standard, and a 14-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system is optional.
A 12.3-inch digital gauge display is also standard and features three different configurations—Evolved, Relax, and Heritage—each with a distinct look.
