View the Honda CR-V Hybrid Racer from Every Angle

Supercapacitors cannot hold a lot of energy for a long period of time, but are great for pushing out tons of power extremely rapidly, making them well-fit for high-performance machines like the CR-V Hybrid Racer.

Honda says the CR-V Hybrid Racer produces around 800 hp, and runs on the 100 percent sustainable fuel that Shell is providing IndyCar for the first time in 2023.

The same Xtrac six-speed paddle shift gearbox from the IndyCars is also fitted to the CR-V, along with IndyCar-spec rear suspension.

The front suspension comes from an Acura NSX GT-3 Evo22 race car.

While the greenhouse and windshield comes from a stock CR-V, the rest of the exaggerated bodywork is built from carbon fiber.

Butterfly doors lead to a stripped-out cockpit, and the Hybrid Racer features a brightly colored wrap that bears the outlines of many of the tracks IndyCar races at.

The CR-V Hybrid Racer will debut at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg this weekend before following the IndyCar circus around the country and showing off its performance at each track.
