The 2024 BMW X5 M and X6 M undergo a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh. Revised faces are their most obvious exterior alteration, with their interiors gaining a giant display as part of a redesigned dashboard. Both now only come in Competition guise too, which features an updated V-8 powertrain that gains a 48-volt hybrid system.

For 2024, the X5 M and X6 M have the latest iteration of BMW's twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8. The engine makes the same 617 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque as the previous Competition models, but it now pairs with a 48-volt hybrid system.

The X5 M seen here has a new face with slimmer headlights and a restyled front bumper. BMW also didn't drastically alter its grille, instead opting for a black surround that creates an X shape with the area below.
