We got a chance to drive prototype examples of the upcoming 2024 Porsche Cayenne SUV and Coupe, which represent more than a mere mid-cycle refresh because the usual nose, tail, and interior tweaks are bolstered by significant power upgrades to four of its powertrains. The base turbo V-6 and range-topping Turbo GT's twin-turbo V-8 get meaningful power increases, while the Cayenne S swaps its current twin-turbo V-6 for a twin-turbo V-8. Also, the E-Hybrid plug-in gets a larger battery and more powerful electric motor that may come close to doubling its electric range. Underpinning all of them are new larger-diameter tires and upgraded dampers across the entire range.

Larger wheel openings stuffed with taller tires (31-inch outside diameter) make the facelifted Cayenne SUV and Coupe look more muscular.
