The 16.0-inch infotainment screen is the nerve center of the cabin experience. It has everything in it but Apple CarPlay.

The front seats are covered in what Rivian calls "vegan leather," which is just a fancy term for vinyl. No matter, as the material is top quality and just as nice as many automotive leathers.

Full-size-truck owners will think this back seat is tight, but drop the armrest and passengers can reach into the Gear Tunnel to access a cooler.

The light signature is unlike anything else on the road—well, save the R1S SUV. It and the R1T are essentially the same from the A-pillar forward.

Under the hood is a frunk. You know, the portmanteau of "front" and "trunk" that some automakers have highlighted by filling said frunk with things like shrimp.

In our range testing, the all-terrain tires (seen here) have returned the lowest 75-mph highway range : 220 miles. On 22-inch all-season tires, the R1T went 280 miles.

In the bed is a locking cable for tows and an air compressor to fill your toys or refill your own tires if you aired down for a jaunt down the beach.

The R1T features a fully independent suspension, hydraulic roll control, and air springs at all corners—features more often found on sports cars, but they work great in a pickup, too.
