Polestar's limited-run BST Edition is a preview of the brand's performance future.
The Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 derives its name from its production run: 270 cars. All of which are sold. But don't worry, this limited-run model is likely a preview of coming attractions for the brand that was once Volvo's performance tuner. The BST doesn't have any additional power, but it does get handling upgrades in the form of sticky Pirellis and Öhlins dampers.
The BST's $76,900 price includes all of the performance hardware you can get on other Polestar 2 variants, along with some key handling upgrades.
The BST gets 21-inch forged wheels with Pirelli P Zeros, a front strut bar, and a 1.0-inch lower ride height.
Painted body cladding helps the car look lower too.
The interior is typically Polestar spare and purposeful.
Adjustable remote-reservoir Öhlins dampers enliven the BST's responses, and the remote reservoirs of the front units are visible within the smallish front trunk.
With 469 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque, Polestar claims a 4.3-second zero-to-60 time. We think it'll do better.
With a top speed of 127 mph, the BST won't set many lap records, but that's more than enough to have fun on real-world twisty roads.
Brembo brakes are shared with the non-BST Performance pack models.
Only 270 BSTs will be built, and they're all sold. Sorry.
Probably thanks to its stickier tires, the BST's EPA-rated range drops from 260 miles to 247 miles.
