The $108,695 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is the first to launch with 754 hp, a claimed 400 miles of range, and cool features like Crab Walk from the Hummer EV.
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV is the latest entrant into the growing electric-pickup space. Like its siblings, the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Hummer EV, it uses GM’s Ultium battery packs and features a high-powered dual-motor drivetrain. It’ll go on sale for the 2024 model year, with more trim levels to follow in 2025.
The Sierra EV will initially launch only as a fully loaded Denali Edition 1 model.
The only bodystyle will be a crew cab, and the bed is offered in a single 5'11'' length.
The top model has a dual-motor powertrain with 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque, more than the Silverado EV but less than the Hummer EV’s top model.
GMC claims a driving range of 400 miles on a single charge.
A 16.8-inch touchscreen and an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster screen are standard on the Denali.
AT4 and Elevation trim levels will arrive for 2025 and should cost less, with GMC claiming a starting price of around $50,000.
The Denali Edition 1 will start at $108,695, and orders open in a few weeks.
The Sierra EV is rated to tow up to 9500 pounds and can haul up to 1300 pounds of payload.
In the nose of the Sierra EV is a power-operated trunk with a 120-volt power outlet and two drains.
The Sierra EV has a charging system built into its cargo bed that can send 10.2 kW to power up to 10 devices.
