Despite some changes under the hood, the latest RX Hybrid strives to deliver the same luxury and comfort it always has.
Lexus has redesigned its popular RX mid-size SUV with an all-new look, a fresh interior, and new powertrains.
The 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid sports an all-new design with an evolution of the brand's spindle grille.
The footprint of the new RX Hybrid is roughly the same as before. The wheelbase grows by 2.4 inches, however, and the rear overhang is trimmed by a similar amount.
The new RX Hybrid rides on Toyota's GA-K architecture, which is also used by the Lexus NX and several Toyota models.
The 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid is strictly a five-seater. The longer L version with its cramped third row does not return.
At launch, three powertrains are offered, two of which are hybrids.
The base RX350 features a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder. The RX350h hybrid has a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four. The new RX500h F Sport Performance hybrid uses the 2.4-liter turbo. An RX450h+ plug-in hybrid is expected to join the lineup later.
Trim levels include Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, F Sport Handling, and F Sport Performance.
The new interior offers a 9.8-inch or a 14.0-inch center display with touchscreen functionality. The remote touchpad has been dropped.
Six interior colors are offered, and the there are three choices of wood as well as aluminum trim.
The 2023 NX should arrive in showroom before the end of 2022.
