The new 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a hard-core variant of the sports car with a 518-hp naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six and all manner of aerodynamic enhancements over the standard 911 GT3. Inspired by the ’90s GT1 racer, the shape of the wheel-well cutouts reduces pressure and drag.
The rear wing shape-shifts to maximize downforce, reduce drag, or work as an air brake.
A splitter is integrated into the front fascia.
Roof-mounted fins divert the hot air expelled from the radiator, permitting cooler air to pass into the rear intakes.
Side blades—similar to an open-wheeler’s bargeboard—guide air around the outside of the body.
Front fender louvers—now an RS staple—reduce pressure in the fenders.
Buttons and dials on the steering wheel control the DRS, dampers, diff, stability control, and drive mode settings.
