The Acura RDX compact SUV is the brand's bestseller and rolls into 2022 with a fistful of changes.
Tweaked exterior styling, enhanced interior technology, and revisions to the standard and optional equipment lists highlight the changes to the Acura RDX crossover for the 2022 model year.
The Acura RDX has seen minor tweaks to its exterior styling, which dates to 2019.
Our test car was equipped with the A-Spec package, which includes 20-inch wheels in dark gray, blacked-out exterior trim, and large dual-exhaust outlets.
Our RDX was also equipped with the Advance package, which brings luxury features such as a head-up display, surround-view camera, and, most importantly, adaptive dampers.
A 272-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission powers all RDX models.
With all-wheel drive, our test car hit 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, which is about average for the RDX's competitive set.
EPA estimated fuel economy for our RDX A-Spec test car is 23 mpg combined (21 city/26 highway). We matched the highway figure in our 75-mph fuel-consumption test.
The interior of our test car was finished in leather and microsuede in a snazzy Orchid (white)-and-black combo.
A 10.2-inch center display is operated via a touchpad on the center console.
The RDX accommodates 30 cubic feet of luggage behind the rear seats and as much as 80 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.
Pricing for the RDX starts at $41,795, with our test SH-AWD A-Spec Advance test car coming in at $54,295.
