With the new ZR2 trim, Chevy finally gives the full-size Silverado 1500 pickup a proper off-road-oriented upgrade.
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has largely watched from the sidelines as other brands have churned out evermore capable off-road-oriented pickups. The new-for-2022 Silverado ZR2 model, however, changes that. Featuring trick spool-valve dampers and a host of other upgrades, the ZR2 gains serious off-road chops that don't come at the expense of its drivability.
