Where the gas flap would be, there's a Level 2 charge plug.

The Defender uses Tesla batteries but it's not Supercharger-compatible. A full charge will take at least overnight.

Where you'd expect to find a gas V-8, or a turbodiesel, there are batteries. Another pack is at the rear.

E.C.D. Defenders start out as import-eligible trucks that are at least 25 years old, but get the more recent interior when they're rebuilt.

The center console can house a rear-facing subwoofer. This one also has a wireless phone charging pad.

This build got rear bucket seats but a bench is an option. There are lots of options.

You can get another two forward-facing seats in the third row (the under-floor batteries negate side-facing seats), but this owner opted for a sort of rear-facing tailgating lounge to use when parked.

E.C.D. Defenders start like this. Or really, they start as well used British-market Defenders. They get this this point after a lot of work. And there's lots more to be done.

E.C.D. makes its own wiring harnesses. Which is fortunate, since this isn't the kind of thing you can buy.

From the time of an order, it'll take about 14 months to get an E.C.D. Defender.

Old Defenders didn't have air bags. Drive accordingly.
