Polestar's electric hatchback now costs less and has a single-motor variant, but both it and the Volvo subbrand still need more exposure to get noticed.
The Polestar brand and its only volume model–the Polestar 2–are relative unknowns in the burgeoning EV space, but a slew of improvements and new configuration options help make the all-electric hatchback more desirable for the 2022 model year. The most notable addition is a single-motor, front-wheel-drive model representing the entry-point of the lineup.
