The 2021 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T doesn't look much different than its 2020 counterpart, but that's not all bad for a sedan that didn't need much improvement.
The Honda Accord's Sport 2.0T model features a 252-hp 2.0-liter turbo four and 10-speed automatic transmission in a package that weighs 50 pounds fewer than the grander Touring model. The result is a slick sedan that puts some meaning into today's ubiquitous Sport label.
The Accord Sport 2.0T's four-cylinder is the foundation for the Civic Type R's engine, and it feels like it. Along with 252 horses, its 273 pound-feet of max torque arrives at 1500 rpm and stays flat to 4000 rpm.
Even better, Honda says the Accord 's 2.0-liter engine achieves its peak output numbers on regular gas.
No leather here, but the Sport's cloth seats do have a sharkskin sheen to them.
The 2021 Accord's front end is barely changed from last year, which is to say it still sort of looks like a seven-eighths-scale Dodge Charger in your rearview mirror.
Alas, 2020 was the last model year you could get a manual transmission in any Accord.
Our test car's skidpad grip figures are intriguing: It pulled 0.91 g while turning left compared to 0.84 g turning right.
With a 60-mph time of 5.4 seconds, the Accord Sport 2.0T is legitimately quick.
That Accord's raked bodywork conceals an interior that's almost exactly the same size as that of Honda's CR-V compact crossover.
