And in the case of the new 2022 Kia Carnival, which replaces the brand's outgoing Sedona, they can be attractive, too. Along with loads of features, good road manners, and strong value, the Carnival is a solid new player in the segment.
The 2022 Kia Carnival is a new minivan that replaces the previous Sedona.
Its new design looks fresh and modern, with a few SUV-inspired touches.
Rest assured that it's still a minivan, though, with sliding doors and tons of space inside.
Kia offers the Carnival with either seven- or eight-passenger seating arrangements.
The top SX Prestige model is pictured here. It offers additional features and luxury touches.
A 3.5-liter V-6 engine is standard and offers 290 horsepower.
Front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission are offered across the board.
Unlike other minivans, the Carnival doesn't offer all-wheel drive or a hybrid drivetrain for better fuel economy.
Trim levels include LX, LXS, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.
The SX Prestige's party pieces are its VIP Lounge second-row seats that feature heating, cooling, a reclining feature, and an ottoman.
