Despite the Ferrari-bred V-8 under the new Quattroporte Trofeo’s hood, Maserati’s big sedan needs to feel more exotic.
Joining the high-performance Trofeo versions of the Ghibli mid-size sedan and Levante SUV, Maserati’s new $148,085 Quattroporte Trofeo houses a Ferrari-sourced twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-8 good for 580 horsepower. But it needs to be weirder to stand out among other big, powerful luxury sedans.
