Porsche's Macan GTS brings most of the Turbo model's sportiness at a more appealing price.
The Macan's smallish back seat and limited cargo space point to a compromise, but the chassis and driving experience is worth the concession.
The Macan GTS shares its twin-turbo 2.9-liter V-6 with the Macan Turbo. In GTS form, it's tuned down from 434 horsepower to 375 horsepower.
Adaptive air springs and Porsche's Active Suspension Management are standard on the GTS.

The exterior of the GTS is identifiable by black accents and tinted LED lights in the front and rear.
On the inside, the interior that was redesigned in 2018 is highlighted by faux-suede coverings on the door panels and center console as well as the inserts of the more heavily bolstered GTS-exclusive power seats.
The Macan GTS starts at $72,650, undercutting the Turbo by $12,300.
